Shandaken Metal Pick-Up Day!

The Town of Shandaken will hold its annual metal pick up from Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 11, 2026. Residents may begin placing metal items out starting Saturday, June 6, but not before. The pickup is for metal items only, including appliances such as refrigerators, ovens, air conditioners, washers, and dryers. Items like household garbage, mattresses, paint cans, and any pressurized tanks will not be collected. Be sure not to block roads or access points, and note that missed pickups will not be revisited.
