Set deep in the Catskills, Pine Hill is a small mountain hamlet with about 275 residents, countless trees, and a well-earned reputation for fresh air and friendly faces. Life here moves at a pace dictated by the weather, the seasons, and whether or not someone has put a pot of coffee on. Surrounded by forested peaks and clear streams, Pine Hill is the kind of place where hiking trails begin just beyond Main Street, neighbors still wave, and nights are dark enough to remind you how many stars there actually are.

“However the community needs the space, we’ll meet that need.” - Colleen McMurray

We’re incredibly proud of the Pine Hill Community Center—and for good reason.
What started in 2000 as a response to a local tragedy has grown into one of the most meaningful spaces in our community. For 25 years, the center has been a place where people come together—for art, music, classes, wellness, youth programs, and even a little treasure hunting in the thrift shop. It’s shaped by the people who use it, evolving with the needs of Pine Hill while staying true to its purpose: showing up for each other.
Powered by donations, grants, and a seriously hardworking thrift operation, the center continues to grow, with plans to expand programs and improve accessibility. At its core, it’s a reminder that even a small town can build something lasting, impactful, and genuinely special.

Days in Pine Hill are shaped by the outdoor hiking in the warmer months, skiing when the snow arrives, and finding any good excuse to be outside in between. Weekends are unhurried. You might run into friends you didn’t plan to see, linger a little longer over a meal, or strike up a conversation that starts with the weather and ends somewhere much more interesting.
Despite its size, Pine Hill offers welcoming places to eat, stay, and recharge, serving both locals and visitors heading to nearby trails and slopes. Whether you’ve just come off the mountain, arrived for a quiet weekend, or have lived here long enough to know everyone’s dog by name, you’ll find Pine Hill feels easy to settle into.
Come for the scenery, stay for the calm, and don’t be surprised if you start measuring time by seasons instead of schedules.
